At Marlow White, we believe every detail of a military uniform should reflect pride, precision, and tradition—including the shoes.
Over the past several years, we have refined every detail of our Army Green Service Uniforms and are proud of the product we offer. However, we recognized that the dress shoe market lacked a premium, American-made option for Soldiers that demand the highest standard of footwear. We set out to find a partner who could help us develop an AGSU low quarter to meet this demand.
That search led us to Allen Edmonds.
Founded in 1922 and known for handcrafted footwear made in Port Washington, Wisconsin, Allen Edmonds produced shoes for the U.S. Army and Navy during World War II. Their legacy of American craftsmanship and commitment to excellence aligns naturally with ours.
Together, we developed the Marlow White by Allen Edmonds Legacy Shoe - a high-quality, hand-crafted dress shoe that complements the polish and professionalism of a Marlow White uniform. These shoes deliver the superior construction and long-term durability that Allen Edmonds is known for. They are built to serve as long as you do with welts and soles carefully sewn around the full circumference of the uppers, ensuring durability and enabling recrafting when needed. The uppers and linings are cut from full-grain cowhides selected for color consistency while retaining the unique character of a natural material.

Sir, I've never had a painful callous on my feet until the AGSU low quarters came out. I now teach JROTC and have to wear Class A/B and the issue low quarters for 9-12 hours per day. After a few weeks I developed multiple callous' across the balls of my feet. I went to clothing sales and bought one of each brand of low quarters. No relief and in fact my feet got worse. I went to a podiatrist, and he clearly blamed the shoes and said there is nothing I can do to fix my feet if I wear those shoes. So, I have great interest in the Allen Edmonds low quarters. Have you received any feedback on the shoes yet? I would buy a pair buts I don't want to add to my collection of shoes that make my feet worse. Does the Edmonds company have a POC I could speak eith? Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out and for sharing your experience. After everything you've gone through with the other low quarters, we completely understand your hesitation to invest in another pair!
We have received very positive feedback on our Allen Edmonds Legacy shoes. One of the biggest differences is in the construction. The Legacy has a leather sole and cork footbed, which allows the shoe to gradually mold to the shape of your foot as you wear it.
There is a break-in period, though. We often compare it to a good pair of cowboy boots — they may feel quite structured at first, but as the leather and cork begin to conform to your foot, the fit becomes much more personalized.
We've also learned through fitting customers in our stores that foot shape is just as important as shoe size with the Legacy. Someone's normal low-quarter size isn't necessarily going to be their best Legacy fit, so getting the sizing right from the beginning is important.
Given the foot issues you've experienced, we certainly can't say whether the Legacy will resolve the problems your podiatrist identified, but from a construction standpoint, it is a very different shoe from the standard issue options you've tried.
