40” Plaque Dimensions (suited for 26-30" blades): 40"L x 8 3/4"H x 3/4"D
44” Plaque Dimensions (suited for 30-34" blades): 44"L x 8 3/4"H x 3/4"D
We think this is the best value on the market. Our clear lacquer finish is applied to 100% solid wood, enhancing the natural wood color and characteristics. We do not stain pressed board.
Please note, as this is a handmade item, the appearance of the wood grain will vary from the images displayed and will reflect the character of the particular wood piece. Lacquer cherry will also naturally darken over time. Our plaques are as unique as the tree from which they are made. Distinctive markings and natural color variations will occur on these plaques.
I have my father’s ceremonial sword from the USCGA class of 1950 and would like to display it. I measure his sword at 36 inches, not 34 or less. Or is the measurement only the blade length? Will a display plaque of 44” work?

The size is based on blade length. 30" or less blade length would be best on a 40" plaque. More than a 30" blade would be best on the 44" plaque.
