Marlow White's swords and sabers have ceremonial blades. As such, they are built to strict military regulations to be used in drills, ceremonies, and displays. These blades are of the highest quality but are not sharpened for use as a weapon.

The buckle is protected by a heat-applied, clear-powder coating to help prevent wear of the relative softness of the gold in the gold-plating.
Cutlass belts are typically worn outside your coat and in addition to/on top of a regular trouser belt. On average you will need to add 2" to your pant/waist size for a proper-fitting cutlass belt, rounding up to the next available size (e.g., Someone with a 33" pant size should order a 36" sword belt).
