I am a retired MG and may mess jacket is too tight. May send it to you for alterations or make me a new jacket. I need it for the Army Birthday, 14 June.

Unfortunately, we are unable to alter a jacket without seeing you in it. However, we’re happy to provide guidance for working with a local tailor!
Our mess jackets are constructed with 2" of seam allowance on the sides, allowing up to 1" of expansion on both the left and right sides.
If the jacket feels tight under the armholes, and the armholes have not been previously altered, a tailor can lower them slightly to provide additional room.
You may also consider ordering an extra-long mess chain, which can help prevent the jacket from pulling when clasped.
