New Army Combat Uniform (ACU)

As many Soldiers know, the Army has announced a new Army Combat Uniform (utilizing a new camouflage pattern). The Army is currently field-testing the uniform and is having it produced for issue to deploying Soldiers beginning in April 2005. The uniform should be available to all Soldiers by December 2007.

Marlow White primarily provides dress uniforms to Soldiers and has no plans to sell camouflage ACU or BDU uniforms. We do provide some BDU accessories, however, because it is a convenience to our customers that are placing a dress uniform order to be able to pick up other accessories at the same time, and because we have seen some high-demand accessories being sold elsewhere at exorbitant prices.

Some of the items we anticipate offering between now and Spring 2005 are:

• We have provided BDU name tags for many years. The New ACU name tag will be applied via tape. We will offer these name tags.
• Sew-on items will no longer be sew-on, but Velcro. We will be transitioning our supply of Army Subcloth Patches to the new Velcro patches. In addition, we will carry the new subdued flag patch when the Army determines the exact specifications.
