Army Female General Officer Service &
Dress Blue Uniform Center

Marlow White has set up this page as a resource for female General Officers of the U.S. Army who are looking for information pertaining to the Service (Class A) & Dress Blue Uniform. It is meant to summarize applicable Army Uniform Regulationsbut please note that as of DEC 2007, the Army has NOT published a change to AR 670-1. Should any of you receive notice that the change to AR 670-1 has been published, please let us know.

All potential changes pertaining to the uniform change are shown in red. Note that these changes are at this point tentative, based on an interim announcement, and are not yet authorized or confirmed by a published change to AR 670-1.

Dress Blue Uniform Change Update (6 Mar 08): GEN Casey has commented recently that an announcement concerning the Dress Blue Uniform Change is likely to occur early this summer. Our guess is that such an announcement would be on June 14 (Army's Birthday) as previous major uniform changes have been announced on that date. Currently, the "Class A" version of the Dress Blue is not implemented and the Class A Green Uniform is still in effect.  Marlow White is NOT a member of the Army Uniform Board; however, the industry's expectations are that the Army's Dress uniform will become a variation of the current Dress Blue Uniform.

We recognize that our Soldier-Clients will want to make wise purchasing decisions ahead of the pending uniform change. One of our roles at Marlow White is to function as an information center for you.

Why do female uniforms cost more than the male uniforms?
